Healthcare professionals of all ages are being encouraged to attend a Recruitment Open Day at Farnham Hospital and Centre for Health, on Saturday 16th October.
Lead clinicians and the recruitment team are looking for healthcare professionals including nurses, occupational therapists, physiotherapists, podiatrists and healthcare assistants – to join their innovative community services and integrated care teams working in Surrey Heath, North East Hampshire and Farnham.
We work in partnership with Frimley Health NHS Foundation Trust, the local council as well as other health organisations, to provide quality health and social care services for a population of about 333,000 across the area. The healthcare teams pride themselves on changing lives by transforming health and care.
Karen Webb, the Service Manager for Intermediate Care, can vouch for this. She started with them in October 2012 as a Rapid Response Sister, before being promoted to a Rapid Response Matron in 2014 and then, in 2019, to her current role.
Karen started her career in health, back in 1996 – as a teenager – working as a Care Assistant at Frimley Park Hospital. She now manages teams based at Farnham Hospital, Frimley Hospital and Camberley Health Centre.
Karen, 44, from Aldershot, said: “I started working at Virgin Care as a band six Rapid Response Sister and gained a promotion and an increase in pay awards too. I love working here and find colleagues have such a positive ‘can do’ attitude, which has been so important over the last year or so with the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic.
“The organisation has invested in and supported my development, enabling me to be promoted in a career I love and enjoy. I received a lot of encouragement to develop from the leadership team – they have really supported me all the way through.
“The team’s working ethos of delivering care you would want for your own family. I get a lot of satisfaction from my job, as I know our team is helping to transform lives every day of the year. I would recommend health professionals who like a challenge, or perhaps a change, and appreciate being rewarded, to come and work with us!”
They are offering new recruits an incentive of a ‘Golden Hello’ of £2,000 for some of the jobs on offer, which is paid to new recruits through two instalments.
The event will be held between: 10am – 2pm on Saturday, 16 October 2021, in the Main Foyer, Farnham Hospital and Centre for Health, Hale Road, Farnham GU9 9QL
